THE WEBSITE OF ANNE E. GILROY
Anne E. Gilroy lives with her family in a small house situated in a large landscape between a pecan grove and a spring-fed lake in rural Hawthorne, Florida - an excellent vantage point from which to look at the storms, the light, the birds (hundreds of sandhill cranes!) the groves and live oaks of the area. She paints the Florida landscape on location and from her 'art van' throughout north Florida - from the local groves to the tidal marshes and springs farther from Hawthorne.
Personal invitations to paint at magnificent Florida locations at Cross Creek, Evinston, Fair Oaks Plantation, Bird Island, Cedar Key, and Apalachicola have contributed to the satisfaction and success of the recent months of painting outdoors.
Portraits and still life paintings are undertaken at her studio in the Tench Art Studio Building on Main Street in Gainesville, Florida.
